Teri: your message was spot on. My experience with mirrors yours.. Critique group participation can be helpful and supportive, and can develop long-lasting friendships. Thank you for sharing. Fred

First time replying to the message board, so not sure it will actually go through. I liked the article about writing communities and I've been in several but have never found anything that stuck well with me. Some were just a bad fit in terms of personality and writing, another I joined at a time when I didn't have the bandwidth to contribute so was asked to leave because I wasn't submitting (I did read everyone's work and comment, but wasn't in a place to write). Others were great, but situations changed and people moved away and the group fell apart. So I'm flying solo until I find a group again., which is a bit sad, but that's life.

Hi, Susan. It is not easy to find a group, I know. My own group came from a year-long class where we got to know each other well and were in a good position to know how well we fit with each other. And we're virtual, so we didnt all have to be in the same place.  Keep your eyes open. I hope you find that right combo.

I've used Scrivener for years, but I haven't used as many features as you have. I love the way you keep notes! I'm adapting that to my work right away. Thanks, Llewella!

About Scrivener. I liked it because it has places to set the names and quirks of minor characters that you may forget.

I didn't like that I, repeat I, couldn't find a way to convert to Word.
