REGISTRATION OPENS SEPTEMBER 5 Please join your OCWW colleagues at our highly sought-after writer retreat in partnership with Ragdale, a nonprofit artist community located on the 50-acre Howard van Doren Shaw country estate in Lake Forest, Illinois. We offer this 3-day (2-night) retreat at an all-inclusive price of $600. One scholarship opportunity is available. All three days feature a continental breakfast followed by ample time to work on the themed topic or work of choice. Upon arrival after a property tour, Christina will oversee introductions and offer a short kick-off lesson. Following lunch, participants will dedicate the early afternoon to individual writing, casual interaction, or socializing in the historic home and grounds. The group reconvenes for the instructor-led session and a moderated reading roundtable before enjoying beverages and a sit-down family style dinner. Ragdale’s own Chef Linda prepares meals using the produce grown in Ragdale’s vast garden. The chef will keep dietary restrictions in mind when creating the menu.
